Interested in fishing?
Fishing trip is always an adventure. With an open mind, right gear and professional guidance the trip will be a success. Remember to enjoy the fresh air and nature. And when you focus on fishing you will forget everything else for a while.
It does not matter if you are a beginner or seasoned fisherman. With beginners we can focus more on the basic techniques and feel of the fish in the end of the line. With seasoned fishermen we can focus more on target fish species and size of the catch.
In lake Pielinen there is suitable catch for everyone. We can fish actively casting soft or hard lures, or take it easy by trolling around.
Where do you stay? We can come to the nearest port and pick you up. Most popular ports are Koli, Nurmes and Lieksa.
Are you physically challenged? No problem, you can wheel your chair to the Trapper Pontoon boat.
Pielinen is sometimes a fierce lake. We have a plan B for windier days but unfortunately sometimes it is too stormy to undock. Then we reschedule the trip or refund you.
Baitcasting or trolling with Trapper

Itinerary
In the port we go thru the route, the boat and the fishing gear. We also give you an introduction to different fishing techniques like casting, vertical and dropshot jigging.
While fishing with live sonar you see both the fish and your lure - and how the fish reacts!
When we get back to the port we will wrap-up the trip and clean, gut and pack the possible catch.
We can't promise that you catch fish but fresh air is guaranteed :)

Price includes: fishing permits, fishing gear, insurance, guide services, light meal and beverages, life jackets, and extra outer wear and boots if necessary.
Target fish: pikeperch, perch, pike, ide, trout or landlocked salmon
Itinerary
In the port we go thru the route, the boat and the fishing gear. We also give you an introduction to different trolling equipment like spreaders or downriggers. With sonar we can find you potential places to fish and gives a hint how deep the fish are.
When we get back to the port we will wrap-up the trip and clean, gut and pack the possible catch.
We can't promise that you catch fish but fresh air is guaranteed :)
Catch quotas (max)
Pikeperch: two, 45cm-60cm
Perch: five, under 35cm
Pike: one, 50cm-80cm
Trout and lakelocked salmon: one trout w/o adipose fin (50-60cm) or lakelocked salmon w/o adipose fin (60-70cm). Lakelocked salmon w/o adipose fin is protected between 1.6. and 31.8.
What to bring
You should bring suitable clothes for a day out on the lake. If you don't have extra outer wear and boots for rough weather please email us your size before the trip.
